First Congregational, was established in 1872, becoming the first organized congregation in the city of Huntington. FC, voted in 1957 to become a part of the newly formed denomination, the United Church of Christ. FCUCC has been on the cutting edge of "peace and social justice" issues throughout its history; our own congregation was the first to integrate within city limits. FCUCC remains a beacon of truth and a light through Christ, in the spreading of the social gospel. Regardless of who you are or where you are on life's journey you are welcome here. First Congregational, United Church of Christ, Huntington, is a progressive (ONA) "open and affirming" Just Peace Christian congregation. FCUCC welcomes ALL people.
