To meet the growing pastoral needs of the Church in Cambodia, Phnom Penh Bible School was founded by the late Daniel Yee-Wah Lam (preaching at left) with support from many Khmer believers and Christian organizations. After much negotiation with the Cambodian government, PPBS was officially recognized by the government on 16th March 1992.
PPBS now offer a two year associate degree and a four year Bachelor degree in Christian Ministry. Over 200 graduates are presently serving in Cambodia.
PPBS is faithfully supported and encouraged by many churches and Christians from several countries. Its main supporting organisation is Country Network (CN), a voluntary, non-denominational organisation that was begun by Daniel Lam, who was also the founder of Phnom Penh Bible School.
Academic Programs
Bachelor in Christian Ministry (BCM)
An academic training course for pastors, church workers or Bible teachers in churches and Christian organizations. It requires 4 years of full time study, participation in field ministry and proven Christian character. The study guides the students to increase their ministry skills and allows students to choose an area of specialization from either a Church Ministry or a Christian Education and Counseling Course.
Associate Degree in Christian Ministry (ADCM)
ADCM requires fulfillment of the first 2 years of BCM either through full-time or part-time study. The Ass. Degree offers adequate training for church or Christian organization positions requiring a good knowledge of the Bible and some ministry skills. It is especially suitable for mature age students who may not afford 4 years of full time study.
