The Catholic Parish
of St.Teresa's Church is one the Parishes of Delhi Archdiocese, which was
established in 1975. After its establishment, there was a rise in the number of
Catholic members visiting this place. Resultant, the requirement for a much
larger and spacious Church Building was identified. It was then that late
Archbishop Most Rev. Angelo negotiated with the government authority to
get hold of the land for building up the church. The foundation stone was laid
on 19th May, 1996, followed by the bifurcation of the Parish into Mary Queen of
Apostles Church, Sangam Vihar and St. Teresa Church, Pushp Vihar. The
construction of the Church Building completed in September, 1998, and was
officially offered blessings on October 1, 1998 by Late Archbishop Alan de
Lastic. Approximately 700 families are connected to the Parish now.
